1999 – अमरीकी नगर डेनवर के कोलंबाइन स्कूल में हाई स्कूल के दो छात्रों ने अंधाधुँध गोलीबारी में 25 लोगों को मार दिया था।
1999 – जर्मन के पूर्व चांसलर हेल्मुट कोल अमेरिकी सर्वोच्च नागरिक सम्मान ‘द प्रेसिडेंशियल मेडल आफ़ फ़्रीडम’ से सम्मानित।

2011 – भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) के उपग्रह प्रक्षेपण यान ‘पीएसएलवी’ ने 20 अप्रॅल, 2011 बुधवार को तीन उपग्रहों को सफलतापूर्वक अंतरिक्ष में स्थापित कर दिया।
2012- अमेरिकी मीडिया ने भारत के अग्नि-5 मिसाइल के सफल परीक्षण पर कहा है कि इससे भारत को उसके पड़ोसी देश चीन के बराबर में खड़ा कर दिया है।
