नागरिक उडयन मंत्री श्री अशोक गजपति राजू ने बताया है कि आरसीएस – उडान के दूसरे दौर के तहत योजना में किये गये मुख्‍य संशोधनों में प्राथमिकता क्षेत्र, संचालनगत लचीलापन, हेलीकॉप्‍टर ऑपरेशन आदि से संबंधित क्षेत्र शामिल हैं। आज यहा संवाददाताओं को संबोधित करते हुए उन्‍होंने बताया कि ‘’व्‍यवसाय करने की सुगमता’’ एवं ‘’उड़ान – आम लोगों के लिए इसे किफायती बनाने के द्वारा क्षेत्रीय एयर कनेक्‍टिविटी को सरल बनाने’’ से संबंधित सरकारी नीति के अनुरूप उड़ान – 2 के तहत निम्‍नलिखित प्रमुख नीतिगत पहल की गई है। इस अवसर पर केन्‍द्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्री श्री जयंत सिन्‍हा, सचिव श्री राजीव नयन चौबे एवं वरिष्‍ठ अधिकारी भी उपस्थित थे।

उडान – 2 के तहत प्रमुख नीतिगत पहल :

  • सुदूर क्षेत्र कनेकटिविटी को विस्‍तारित करने के लिए प्राथमिकता क्षेत्रों पर ध्‍यान केंद्रित करना।
  • प्राथमिकता क्षेत्र का अर्थ है जम्‍मू एवं कश्‍मीर, हिमाचल प्रदेश एवं उत्‍तराखंड, पूर्वोत्‍तर क्षेत्र, अंडमान एवं निकोबार द्वीप समूह तथा लक्षद्वीप समूह।
  • हेलीकॉप्‍टर सेवाओं को प्रोत्‍साहन प्रदान करना यानि इस योजना के तहत ही प्राथमिकता क्षेत्रों में हेलीकॉप्‍टर सेवाओं को बढ़ावा देना।

दूसरे दौर की बोली के दौरान आरसीएस – उड़ान के तहत प्रदान किये गये रूट :

कार्यान्‍वयनकारी एजेंसी भारतीय विमान पत्‍तन प्राधिकरण (एएआई) ने दूसरे दौर की बोली के संपन्‍न होने के बाद आरसीएस उड़ान के तहत प्राप्‍त 90 प्रस्‍तावों के लिए आशय पत्र जारी किये हैं। ऐसी उम्‍मीद की जाती है कि फिक्‍सड विंग वाले वायु यान सालाना लगभग 26.5 लाख आरसीएस सीट उपलब्‍ध करायेंगे जिसमें लगभग एक घंटे की उड़ान के लिए 2500 रूपये के वायु किराये की अधिकतम सीमा निर्धारित की जा सकती है।
